Fish Brosmer, a trumpet performance major at Georgia State, recently performed with the New World Symphony in Miami as part of their Resonance of Remembrance series. The concert, conducted by Anja Bihlmeier and Molly Turner, featured works by Korngold, Waxman, Orbón, Schoenberg, and Rachmaninoff. Brosmer’s participation follows his win in the 2023 Brumby Concerto Competition at GSU and his involvement in the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute. Dr. Alex Freund, his teacher, praised the experience, noting the prestige of the New World Symphony, and Brosmer reflected on the transformative opportunity, saying, “Getting to play with musicians that perform at such a high level allows your musicianship to exceed any bar you’ve previously set for yourself.”
