(AP Photo/Jason DeCrow) By Cox Media Group National Content Desk It was originally a scheduled day off for Wynton Marsalis and his bandmates. Instead, they gave one of their most personal and moving performances. Marsalis had originally planned on visiting the great jazz trumpet and flugelhorn player Clark Terry for his upcoming 94 th birthday. But over the weekend, a health crisis landed the 93-year-old musician in the hospital. So Marsalis and his fellow performers decided to surprise Terry in the hospital and perform a few songs for the man who influenced them so much. It was an emotionally moving event for everyone involved, as Marsalis so eloquently describes in a Facebook post. http://m.journal-news.com/news/entertainment/music/wynton-marsalis-visits-hospital-play-legendary-tru/njP2m/
